McKenzie Lake

The community McKenzie Lake is highlighted by a 43 acre lake combined with an 18 acre park that holds 200 million gallons of water fed by the City of Calgary. It is 28 feet at its deepest point with an average depth of 15 feet and has a marked shallow water swimming area with sandy beaches. The community association also provides its members with access to equipment such as rowboats, canoes, kayaks, and pedal boats. In the winter time there is a variety of skating surfaces including illuminated hockey rinks, an ice skating pad with a fire pit, and a 2.5 kilometer skating path around the lake.
